HELMET



Helmet is a protective product designed primarily for accessories and objects which are exposed to risks of abrasion or corrosion. It derives from studying nanotechnology and nature, in particular the Lotus flower and its natural cleaning mechanism. The lotus flower leaves do not hold back the water but rather let it drain away, in numerous droplets which are formed thanks to the leaf's high surface tension. We have replicated this protection system through nanotechnologies, creating a solution that contains a particular inhibitor present in solution, an inhibitor that makes it possible to protect surfaces and preserve their characteristics of brightness and colour. Helmet is applied thanks to an electrophoretic process that produces a transparent nanostructured layer which is able to protect the accessory from polluting and abrasive agents. The protective film is effective on:

  • gold
  • ruthenium
  • palladium
  • silver
  • alloys (especially those containing copper)

In addition to its protective properties, Helmet has the advantage of being easily strippable.
